About Us and the Sojourn

Hi There!
So the story is long and interesting. It all started when I visited a popular fast food chain in Southern California. At this chain you can garnish your order with various sauces ranging from spicey, double spicey, and triple spicey. I frequented this one location so often that the counter people started giving me extra triple spicey sauce. I was addicted!

Then I moved to a nearby state and fortunately there was 1 location nearby so my addiction was satiated. Then trouble struck - this location was closed and I was left wanting. Shortly after this the announcement came down that all sauces could be individually purchased without ordering food... only trouble was in that you could only get them at the locations. After inquiring many of us in love with these sauces found out that the parent company was not shipping any of the sauces - you had to go to a location! Because of the closure of the one near me I was forced to dive 180 miles to the next nearest location just to get my fix. Talk about withdrawal!

A year goes by and I have family members send me the triple sauce as a Christmas present and I was asked to come to the work office for a series of meetings and luck-b-have-it, there were several open locations for me to pick up this sauce. I stocked up but this would only last a brief period of time.
The only solution was to make my own replication of the sauce. But how? And then it dawned on me - the ingredients are printed on each bottle so all I had to do was to figure out the proportions. After a few attempts I did it and now I was in heaven. Some of my friends tried this sauce and asked for their own bottles. And from here I started down the path of making different sauces for friends and family... and voila - Henderson Sauce Spot was born.

This web site is designed to show my journey, see the equipment I purchased to help replicate these amazing sauces, show the recipes I created, the steps to replicate, and all things related to the sauces we make at HSS. I hope you enjoy!

Thanks - Steve
