Awesome Avocado

I don't know why but one day I was thinking - wouldn't it be nice to have a more avocado-based sauce that works well with most dishes... including as a creamy dip?   Well... here you are!

Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 large Hass Avocado (otherwise 2 mid-size ones)

  • 4 Jalapeno peppers (deseeded if you don't want the heat!)

  • 1 tablespoon

  • 1 cup of cilantro

  • 4 tablespoons lime juice

  • 1/2 cup of avocado oil

  • 1/2 cup of mayonnaise

  • 2 tablespoons of minced garlic

  • 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes

  • 1 tablespoon cyanine pepper

  • Water

Putting Together

The key to this is to have lots of water ready to make it the thickness that you are looking for.   Additionally, you can turn up or down the heat and/or saltness to your liking.   Below are the steps I typically follow when making a batch of this good stuff

  • Start off with 1/2 cup of water in your blender

  • Add all of the ingredients above to the blender and let it rip

  • Have water on hand to add while blending to get to the consistency you want

  • Periodically taste to see if you want to add more salt or more heat

  • Enjoy
